I wanted to let those of you who are looking to adopt a cat or kitten know that Midlands Kittens is having an Adoption Day this Saturday, August 21st from 12-3PM at The Animal Supply House on Garners Ferry Road.

Midlands Kittens is a 501c-3 non-profit rescue. We are a bit different than most rescues. We TNR (Trap. neuter & release) feral cats and save the kittens, tame them & find them loving FURever homes!!! We are a new rescue and are trying to find different ways of telling people about us. So please tell your family and friends about our little rescue and please visit our website to see our adoptable cats and kittens. All have been vaccinated, dewormed and, if old enough, spayed and neutered. Thanks!

To release feral cats is a disservice to all wild life.
There is no place for them in the wild. They unbalance the system.

Nah, they don't. They've been part of the ecosystem for eons. Just cuz you don't like cats is no need to make stuff like that up.

You sound just like my uncle, though!

Feral cats usually feed on mice, moles and other critters that are considered a nuisance. Most neighborhoods that have a few feral cats running around don't have a huge problem with vermin. I actually think it is a good idea to catch and neuter/spay these cats. At least that way they aren't going to reproduce.
