View Full Version : Stuff In My Shoe

I have decided to start a new thread with the above title because of a little orange cat named Milo.

http://i44.tinypic.com/2mfxisi.jpg

Now, you may recognize this (not so innocent) face. Yes, that's right he has a whole thread dedicated to him called "Bad Cats."

Now, Milo has several strange habits...for instance, he likes to tear stuff up, terrorize our other cat, Jackie, and wear my make up.

http://i41.tinypic.com/2llejdd.jpg

BUT one of the most annoying habits that he has is stealing stuff off of whatever he can get to and putting these items in our shoes. We have found all sorts of stuff in our shoes: bottle tops, Q Tips, etc.

Here's the latest:

What you have here is JDG's make up wand that was on the bathroom counter. It was found in my left shoe.

Let's not forget that Milo will put anything (and I do mean ANYTHING) into our shoes. He steals dog food and puts it in our shoes, but the worst is the bugs. He'll catch a moth or something and I've totally busted him running to our bedroom with it in his mouth and then heading to the first shoe he can find to shove it in there. That is one strange (not-so) little cat.

You can tell by this pic (see below) that he's just plotting what he's going to be doing next. His wubby (that stuffed little bear he's sleeping on) would be in our shoes at this point if he though he could fit it in there...

Think of it like Christmas morning... you never know what you are getting. He's just trying to wrap up a little surprise for you. Now... the first time he shoves a spider in one of my shoes I'm gonna go gunning for the little bast@rd.

RDW, you do not understand the holy terror that this "sweet lil kitty" can be.

Let me put it this way...last year, we literally had to crate him at night because he wouldn't let us sleep. Who has ever heard of having to crate a cat? Of course, he does want to be a dog...

Oh but I DO understand......Our 3 "angels" are kept in the front of the house (kitchen and dining room) at night closed off from us because of that very reason.......KoKo would sleep at the foot of the bed for the first part of the night then in the middle of the night he thinks it's time to "groom" my hair, meanwhile Ling-Ling insists that she can sleep nowhere on the bed but on my arm between mine and RD's pillows right in my face, all the while YumYum insists on getting on my chest and making happy feet. I DO FEEL YOUR PAIN.....

I can deal with the cats taking up my foot space, sleeping on my pillow, making biscuits...etc. What I can't deal with is the random assaults on my body because he "thought" he saw my finger move...or he "thought" he saw my eyelash move and he had to attack whatever he saw move.

Cat-dogs are great! Kinda' the best of both...well, it was with our sweet kitty. We miss him so very much. He had a huge appetite though, and you had to watch him closely cuz he'd eat anything. Once when I was emptying the refrigerator and had already removed the bag from the trash, he climbed into the trash bag and started gobbling up everything!

We never had any problems with stuff in shoes, but I did meet a guy who said that when he was young he urinated in his father's shoe. Weird, huh? I still think, "Dude,...don't think I woulduv told that."

Hey, I wasn't knocking the double name thing. I was merely asking a question. Geez, tough crowd.

I do, however, miss my Ro-Ro-Za-Nub-Nub very, very much. She was such a sweet - somewhat stubborn - girl.

You know, Q... I... hmm... well... gee... I, well... I just have nothing to say to that except to ask... you don't still hang around this guy, do you?

I had a Shar-Pei named ChaCha.....go figure.
KoKo and YumYum were named after some kitties written about in some murder mysteries by Lillian Jackson Braun.
"The Cat Who...."
I have all her books and even the cookbook in hardback.

ChaCha passed 10yrs ago today........Gosh I miss that dog!

Please tell me the cat wasn't a dish in the cookbook...

I am sorry about your ChaCha. Ro-Ro-Za-Nub-Nub (real name Lola) passed two years ago in July... she was a sweet English Bulldog that we rescued. I'm still not over losing her. Rachel's baby was Kiki... she was an 18 (possibly +) year old cat that we had to let go last year. It's amazing how much you miss them, you know?

Actually, we had to put Kiki down a year ago this week.

JDG, and RPW, I remember last year when you had to say good-bye to your kitty...... I still go into the back yard and talk to ChaCha. We have a special place in the yard for ChaCha with her own plaque and cement marker. Sometimes our pets are more family than some would imagine.

I do fuss about our 3 siamese but I could not imagine a life without them. God love us and our "babies".....

I still talk to Lola too. I'm hoping that one day I'll catch a glimpse of her running & playing in the back yard. She had a hard life, but when we got her we made sure that she had the life of a queen. We only had her a little over a year, but I know in my heart that little dog knew she was finally - and undoubtedly - loved.

RPW... I can't believe that this week is a year since Kiki. It doesn't seem that long ago. I tell you... I miss that old gal. She really was the queen bee of the house... and she knew it. She may have been declawed (not by us), but if she was unhappy with you she thought nothing of jack-slapping you and walking away. I miss her waiting up for us.

Tears are always a nice way to start the morning. Thanks.

This was our Kiki about 3 years ago (I think).

This picture was obviously taken during one of her deep naps otherwise she would have sat up, stretched a little, and then knocked the camera out of your hands with one paw while jack-slapping you across the head with the other. She didn't like random pics being taken... she preferred to strike a pose.

Now, I didn't get a picture of the very large wolf spider that he put in my shoe a few months ago, but here is the latest item found in my boot:

I know where it came from... it was a gift from a co-worker... remember... "Change... you will accept it"? But how it got into your shoe... Well, I'm guessing your Irish child was behind that one.

Yes, I know where we got the "change." I just don't know how my little orange son got it.
