<!-- CLOSE: #story_header -->Two officers were shot in Rock Hill Wednesday night while trying to serve a search warrant.

Investigators said the officers were serving the warrant at a home on Arlington Avenue in Rock Hill just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect fired shots at two of the officers. The officers were taken to Piedmont Medical Center. Their injuries are not life-threatening, according to Rock Hill Police Lt. Brad Redfearn.

The suspect was also hurt and taken to Piedmont Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Redfearn would not comment on how the suspect was hurt.
"I can’t release the details about what happened because of the SLED investigation and also our internal investigation," Redfearn said this morning.

One of the officers was from the Street Crimes Unit in the Rock Hill Police Department. The other officer was a Fort Mill officer serving on the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit.

The officer's names are not being released. Multiple sources have told The Herald the Rock Hill officer involved in the shooting was a woman.

The York County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Unit was created in 1998 to give law enforcement a coordinated anti-drug strategy, and has been commanded by Marvin Brown since its inception. The unit has officers from the York County Sheriff's Office and police departments from Rock Hill, Fort Mill, York, Clover and Tega Cay, and has offices at both the Moss Justice Center and the Rock Hill Police Department.

A bunch of low-life thugs. I hope they put them under the jail. The sad part is... the scum that shot those officers probably have no qualms at all about going to prison... it'll be a homecoming for them.
