Sanders has not been heard from since June 19, 2001, when he called his family and said he was on his way home from Columbia. Police have determined that the last time he was seen was around 9:51 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Columbia, where he was planning a bachelor party for a friend. The phone call Shelton placed to his family in Rembert, SC was from his mobile phone. Police are saying that neither his cell phone nor his credit cards have been used since his disappearance. In April 2003, the 1988 Oldsmobile Regency Sanders was driving the night he vanished turned up in the parking lot at Greenbrier Apartments in Northeast Columbia. Police believe it had been abandoned since Shelton's disappearance. On October 5, 2005, the police arrested 30-year-old Mark Anthony Richardson. He was charged with murder and taken to the Richland County Jail. He was the last person with Shelton while he was alive.

Dale Dinwiddie is dead. They know who killed her. He is also the prime suspect in the kidnapping and murder of the Marchant girl. He lives in Rosewood and made a living for most of his life working as a professional informant for Richland, Lexington and Horry County narcotics. I am afraid they will never bring charges against him. He was my brother's best friend.

Wont print his name, but I have spoken with local law and the FBI. My brother is dead now, and we never could convince him to tell what he knew. I beat him so badly over this that I was originally charged with attempted murder. They dropped the charges as soon as they found out what it was about. The suspect flees when he sees me or my vehicle, but I dont intend to do anything to him. My brother did state flat out that he knew for a fact that this guy did it. I said the only way you could know for sure was if you saw it. He said he knew for sure. My sisters and I immediately went to police. My brother was brought in and the matter has been followed as far as it can go. I am sure they are not looking at anyone else but this creep as a suspect. Everyone in Rosewood and Olympia, that grew up with us knows about this. He rarely leaves his moms home on Wando.

The Dail Dinwiddie case is very interesting... not to mention, so completely heartbreaking for her and her family. I do believe that SLED and the FBI probably know more than they've released, but obviously they can't release everything they know about an unsolved case. Of course, the guy who made the statements that Worley posted above sounds like a big talker to me. I'm not sure I would place too much faith in his statements.

I seem to recall something about drugs regarding Merchant as well. It's been so long now I don't really remember all of it. I have a feeling the Merchant & Dinwiddie cases may just go unsolved.

Marchant was a drug addict and was on her way home from a rehab meeting at a church around Forest Acres. Her car was found at a dead end road along the tracks at Owens Field. Some think it was a drug deal gone bad. Dinwiddie disappeared after the U2 Concert at Williams Brice Stadium. It is not believed that she was n the drug scene. Both are probably lost to History, but one can't tell after Jaycee Duggard appeared out of nowhere.

This story broke back in April, but I've not heard anything about it lately. Was anything found regarding this person?

Brittanee Drexel: The 17-year-old's mother said her daughter disappeared April 25 while on a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. Her mother, Dawn, said she didn't give her daughter permission to go on the trip.

nope, i think there was another search organized in myrtle beach sometime in the past week or two, but as far as I know, that was pretty much going to be it. there have been no new leads, and seems like I read that there was nothing found in the area where her cell phone gave off it's last signal. As busy as Ocean Blvd. is, I just don't understand how no one could have seen something. Granted, there are a lot of people out there, but as much coverage as this story received, someone should have at least remembered seeing her at some point. She didn't just vanish into thin air...

People have said the exact same thing about the Dale Dinwiddie case... but it appears to be just that... they've vanished into thin air... no trail... no trace.

It's been a long time, her mother still hasn't given up.
Most of the family has. I say it's unlikely she is still alive~but possible.
Her mom spent a lot of money on detectives, investigators and psychics, ect.
That was a large wedge in the family.

For years I wall papered FL with posters.
I have friends in the Martin and St Lucie SO, I worked with them. More like kept it on the front burner.

Her mom just sent me another update, see below.

As I understand the happenings......
DeeDee came out of work and after a short chat with a couple coworkers headed to her car.
A couple coworkers still at the door, and others, heard a scream, they looked at her car thinking she fell or something.
Several people ran over there and found the car door open, the keys on the ground and her purse on the seat untouched.
She was gone.

Is Mystery of Missing Spring Breaker Nearing an End?

http://www.aolnews.com/nation/article/is-mystery-of-missing-spring-breaker-brittanee-drexel-nearing-an-end/19435668

(April 12) -- Almost a year after a New York teen vanished while on spring break in Myrtle Beach, S.C., news wires have begun buzzing (http://abcnews.go.com/US/missing-brittanee-drexel-case-targets-people-interest/story?id=10353285) with reports (http://www.thesunnews.com/2010/04/12/1417706/search-for-brittanee-drexel-to.html) about people of interest and possible arrests in the case.

But even though authorities say a break in the disappearance of Brittanee Drexel (http://www.helpfindbrittaneedrexel.com/) is "at our fingertips," they're still looking at several individuals and are not ready to issue any warrants.

"Let me clarify to you: These are not guys that just popped up last week," Lt. Neil Johnson, a Georgetown County Sheriff's Office spokesman, told AOL News. "We've been looking at these guys since about the first of the year, and we're not fixing to make an arrest."

"About 20 people have given us information, and the information they're giving to us is leading back to these few, but it's not enough to get an arrest warrant," Johnson said. "I would love to be able to get probable cause to get an arrest warrant to put them in jail today, but we don't have it.

"We feel like it is right there at our fingertips, but we've got to wait until we get enough."

Johnson wouldn't comment on what type of information the authorities have received, but he did say it has led them to believe Drexel is no longer alive.

Her family is not yet ready to give up hope, however. "They have no evidence. They have not found her body, and that's why our hope is alive," Drexel's aunt, Keri Drexel, told AOL News. "We need answers. Somebody knows something. Someone out there has the piece of the puzzle we've been looking for."

Monica Caison, director of the Community United Effort Center for Missing Persons (http://www.ncmissingpersons.org/) in Wilmington, N.C., agrees with Drexel's aunt.

"As an advocate for the missing, I will always remain hopeful," she said. "For the past nine months, [while leading search efforts] I have looked in the woods -- and I think it is obvious that we were looking for a deceased individual there -- but also during those nine months I have looked at everything that could possibly point to her being alive, too."

In the event her niece is no longer alive, Keri Drexel said she wants those responsible to know they will be held accountable.

"Who do they think they are, taking an individual from our family and doing something to her?" Keri Drexel said. "If somebody has, they're going to pay dearly. The whole family is going to stand behind it 100 percent and make sure they pay."

I always had a feeling that law enforcement had a little more information than they wanted (or needed) to release regarding this case, but just didn't have that "smoking gun" to tightly tie it all together and make it all firmly stick. Hopefully soon they'll have everything they need - including a location of the body - so that the family can finally get some closure.

After 18 years of searching for their daughter, the parents of Dail Dinwiddie hope their appearance tonight on a national television program will generate new leads in the case.

Jean and Dan Dinwiddie said they will appear on tonight’s “Parker Spitzer” show on CNN. The show airs at 8 p.m. on Time Warner Cable Channel 33. The family will discuss their search for their daughter, who vanished when she was 23 years old.

There are no new developments in the case, Jean Dinwiddie said

Is this the same inmate informant that said she was "buried" near the rapids at Riverbanks Zoo or was this the inmate informant that said she was taken down to the low country and disposed of. Oh wait... maybe this is the inmate informant that said she was {insert location of your choice here}. Stories of inmate informants telling her whereabouts have been around since, well, since she went missing. The Admin Building was just one in the list of many, many locations. A video segment about missing Columbia woman Dail Dinwiddie has been posted on a CNN blog.

The family of Dail Dinwiddie traveled to New York earlier this month to tape an interview for the parker|spitzer television show. Their segment never aired on the national political talk show featuring former Columbia resident and Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper columnist Kathleen Parker. Dinwiddie sat for Parker's son, and the writer helped in the search effort when she went missing.

Jean Dinwiddie, Dail Dinwiddie's mother, said show producers told them the program had a crowded schedule of breaking news topics and could not fit their interview into the nightly line up.
