There is a company in the Leesville area owned by a James or maybe it is a Jamie Smith that does concrete work. They suppossedly do good work but they are very unreliable. They will promise to show up and pour on a certian day and never show up. He promised to finish some concrete for me several months ago. My concrete was delivered and he never showed up. I got a crash course in finishing concrete. It ain't perfect but it's mine. I had very little choice but to do the best I could with it.

You know, this is what I'm afraid of... I've heard so many horror stories about hiring someone to do some work (whether it be pouring concrete, renovations, etc...) and they either don't show up or they show up and get started and then leave everything in chaos and disappear. I have some stuff that I really want to have done to my house, but stuff like this worries me. I'm not the "fix-it" type so I wouldn't fair as well as you did with the concrete, I don't think.

Call me and I'll tell you a roofing company NOT to hire.

I really had a hard time finding roofers, but we did find a good one.

I'm gonna need a roof before long.
I may have to buy carpet first.
Two things I can't do roof and lay carpet.

Sorry to hear about you concrete problems A/B. Unfortunately, as you know, there are many individuals like him out there. Lucky for me, many years ago, I almost used the same person. If they are the same, he goes by Jamie, but I believe his real name is James and is in the mid to late 30's? My understanding he has several judgments against him and is not licensed by South Carolina LLR. One day they will have to answer to a higher Authority. Check out the links.

I've looked him up and he is the same guy. Claims to have alot of friends and politics but most of the people he knows he meets at one of those fine establishments at the second water.
