The time has come again for Marion Baptist Church to present God's word and His gift in the form of Judgment House again. In this time of uncertainty, one thing is constant, that being God's love for his children. I do not know what the theme is for this year, but no doubt in my mind that this will be an eye-opener for some. Dates for performances are Feb. 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are prefered for large crowds. I am looking forward to seeing God move in this drama, and I hope to see you there!! There is a two dollar per head love offering requested at the door, and refreshments for sale in the fellowship hall. For those who don't know, Marion Baptist is located at the corner of Main St. (hwy. 501 BUS) and Godbold St. Marion. You can call the church office @ 843-423-3111 for more info.
Thanks Yall,
God Bless.

Just letting you know, the script changes every year, and this year, we are throwing a curve ball out there. None the less I know that God is already at work in this. I am looking forward to acting this on out. I invite everyone to come out and witness your final destination. Show times begin at 4:00 pm on the dates lsted above.
Hey Grizz, do you have the numbers from each night? Numbers like attendance, saved, and re-dedications. Heard the last night was alsome.

Are Judgement House and Hell House pretty much the same thing?

No bro, don't have numbers, and really don't care. I know that sounds harsh, but if you get wrapped up in the number game, you loose focus on Gods aggenda. At least one person was saved, so it was worth it!

No, they are not the same thing. From what I understand Hell House is more graphic. Judgmen tHouse shows you Gods grace.

Thanks, Grizz. I was just curious because I know a little about Hell House and I just have mixed emotions about that one. I just don't think that children should be scared into believing in God and Hell House has a tendency to do that. It might be fine for adults, but kids... in my opinion, I just don't think they should attend something like that.

Don't get me wrong, we do not "scare" people into making a decision, but we have done some scripts that were very scary. Real life scenarios that happen every day. The one we just did was titled "Web of Lies". It was about an internet preditor, his background, and the lives of his victims. We presented the gospel in the drama, and at the end of the drama, we give people the option to make a decision. We do have a Heaven, and a hell scene, and those two scenes get kinda personal, but it does not try to scare anyone into believing in God. God works through us during this drama.

Grizz, I got to tell you, that's one of the best examples I've ever seen of talking around the subject while avoiding it. An explanation of why what we do is not what we really do.
I could get scared watching a play about internet or any other predators.
Why not make it about the amazing love of Jesus, which is what he was all about anyway. I can't believe that he would approve of trying to steer people to him with what amounts to violence, especially if the young are present.
