Probably on the fact that before this thread, no one had posted anything since June 4. No activity for a week DOES make it seem that interest is not what it once was. i check this site almost every day, but I don't post much, only when it strikes me...guess that happened today! Now, Dillon County, that's an interesting read...they always have some interesting threads going on!!

I'll say again, I've always thought that Marion was a nice little historical town. Although the last time I was there (for my nephew's B-team football game a few years ago) the Marion side cheated so bad that it left a bad impression. They actually had a 17-year-old playing for their B-team. The apparently local refs wouldn't do a danged thing, even when shown proof of the kid's age (which matched his size). Lucky nobody got hurt.

But this is as much a sign of the sickness of football as anything else. My nephew is an All-Star baseball player now and still is on the principal's list on every report card. (He's also a fine basketball player as well.)
