Rumor has it that Marion County is going to hire a new 911 Director...just hope that new Director is not from Dillon County 911. I guess when you can't screw enough people in Dillon County to get what you want you have to move on to another county. She is not qualified. They really need to do their homework on this one before they really get themselves in a mess by hiring her.

Who ever it is, I hope they are very well qualified for the position. They need to get and keep the system in order and make those dispatchers understand the true importance of their job. To many lives at stake for any screw ups. There are some good ones out there but the bad far more out weight them. There is no sense in the system going down and also having to call dispatch five or more times on the radio to get an answer.

Delted was a famous, even legendary first responder from back in the day. His name was Charles Shakesandy Delted.

In most cases it is not a good idea to use real names on a message board, or even initials or anything else that anybody might recognize definitely just because it often leads to harm for the individual and possibly legal liability for the one that writes it. Just not a good idea.

Delted could single handedly lift cars off of people. Rumor has it that he was the inspiration for the Incredible Hulk.

He wasn't green, though.

Marion County can have her! But then again why would Marion go outside the county to hire when you can hire from the county with the highest unemployment rate?(if there is someone qualified) If your leaders are like Dillon County they will hire from another county. When will this be announced?

Nah, just a county attorney. No big deal, didn't you know council and the admin need their own lawyer worse than the common people need jobs?

I know who u r talking about and no we don't want her. Know her personally and trust me, she does not have the temperament or ability to run 911. Have seen her in action and no I have never worked for 911 or Dillon co. Just know her. Dillon co. was wrong in putting the director in that they did, he has no more sense than my dog. In fact I believe my dog could do as good a job from what I have heard. Probably better!!

Much needed change has finally come to Marion County 911. I can only speak from the fire side of it though. Now the residents can rest assure that there will be two dept. responding instead of one to house fires. This means more man power on sceen to get the job done. I've heard that Chris is also working on a set standard on radio channels. This means no more flipping though channels hoping to find the right one. Also the dispatchers are getting more info from the callers and relaying to the responders. Keep up the good work Chris.
