Anyone done business with them?

I don't know much about them other than they sure have grown in size 10 fold over the past few years. That tells me that the demand for their homes is high. I recall once hearing that there was a year wait for a house with them.

I contacted Southland Log homes to have a home built about 2 years ago. We got the price from them and took it home to discuss what we wanted to do. I told the salesman that I would contact them back as soon as I purchased the land we wanted to build on. For the next month he called every day in the middle of the day. At the time I was working night shift. I kept telling him that I would call him back when I was ready to speak with him. I finally told him to never call back and I would be damned if I would ever buy a log home from him. The customer service at the log home place on Hwy 1 in Lexington is wonderful and they build a beautiful home for a better price.
