What is the critria for SLED to get involved? There seems to be a few law enforcement agencies that need some policing. SLED might be one of the biggest "good ole boy" agencies there are and elects to take a stand off position.

Isn't STP a division of the Department of Public Safety? I thought the new director was going to straighten DPS out.

Mr. Keel will, just give him time. The "ticket fixing" between Sen. Grady Brown and Col. Amos happened prior to his arrival. One thing that is for sure is this type of "business as usual" is a thing of the past. Amos did the right thing to quickly retire.

I certainly hope he will. Right now though- Col. Amos is retired with a retirement salary of close to 60,000 a year plus a job in DC- arranged by "friends in the legislature" making 100,000 a year.
