Most cities have adopted noise ordinances, enforcing them is another issue, However i can't say with confidence that our cities have them.

Dillon has one for sure. My son received a ticket for $475.00 for playing his music too loud. Of course he knows that if it ever happens again, he'll be back to the factory speakers. I do think it is a little much when the cost for noise is much more than the speeding ticket would have been.

What keeps these kids from getting industrial-grade headphones? They can still choose to go deaf but they can save a lot of money and not be a nuisance to the community.
I guess I answered my own question. Being a nuisance to the community is the actual object of the whole thing. Mass sociopathology, fed by the corporate media and, as often as not, tolerated or even approved by parents.
If a kid is somehow able to put a couple of thousand dollars into a "system" for his car, do his parents truly not know about it (assuming he lives at home, which is how he affords the "system" anyway)? And if they know about it, do they really have any reason to be surprised at what happens next?
Responsibility still exists, no matter how much we lie about it.

This is really annoying, I think we need better patrols with this kinda thing. I know that kids & adults are trying to be "cool" but this kinda noise is not called for at 6am in the morning. I can almost time it someone comes by my house at 6:30 in the morning and about 10pm at night.....and this bothers anyone that has hearing problems already esp with hearing aids the bass causes a vibration and will drive that person nuts........

Parents, if you have kids living at home, regardless of age, that are going around making the community a less pleasant or less safe place (or worse yet, committing actual crimes), then part of the responsibility is yours.
Of course after the story yesterday in Dillon where the mother didn't see anything wrong with her kid stealing a police car (at least twice) I guess not much should surprise us.

That is the type of mother that should be locked up behind bars with her kid!
