Kent or Levonne?

KENT WILLIAMS!!!! Levonne was at the fox trot all day trying to rally up support. The only thing is he wouldn't even talk to me. Come to think about, I didn't see him talking to any white people. Now I'm not making this a white or black thing. All I'm saying is that we're all equal and if anyone plans on running for any office they need to talk to everyone reguardless of race. It's well past time to over the race card. We'll never grow as long as we hold onto the past like it's some kind of sercurity blanket.

Kent Williams has proven himself while he has been in office. He certainly has my vote. I dont think Lavonne Graves is the right person for the job when he was let go as Chief County Magistrate because of his wrong doings and misdealings. How can anyone want to put someone like that in a position that did such a terrible job and downgraded so many people while he was in the Chief Magistrates position. We need someone in this position that will look out for everybody and not just a certain race of people. Kent Williams has never shown any type of racial issues and is a very likeable individual. Kent Williams is what Marion County needs without a doubt.

We could be so powerful if whites and blacks could come together in big numbers in Marion County. Kent Williams has shown racial equality better than any other politician we have . Marion County Council usually appears to be divided and Marion City Council ....well... we want even open that can of worms!

I feel I'll be casting my vote for Mr. Kent again. I feel he has done a good job. Besides, I've heard to many bad things about Mr. Levonne.

I like both Mr Williams and Mr. Graves (aka Judge Graves). I do want it to be known that Mr. Williams, as Senator, did not reappoint Mr. Graves as magistrate. Mr. Williams and Mr. Graves do not don't like each other. I think both men have different qualities that would work well for our district. I also think that both men have made some mistakes that I think were not good decisions. They, or their supporters may not feel the same way, but that is my point of view. Because I know both men, it will be a hard decision for me to make.
As for as Mr. Graves and the "white people", I am white and he has been nothing but respectful to me and others that I've seen him with. He was a great Judge and very knowledgeable of the law. He was very stern, therefore, many people did not like him.
Mr. Williams also has been very respectful to me and to others that I have seen. I think that he does care about Marion County and the people. I think he has done a good job with the County and I think he is very tight when it comes to spending the county's money, which is the way it needs to be.

My vote will be for Kent Williams. As a neighbor that has known Kent long before he became senator, what he does in public is no act. Kent and his brother Bruce are two very fine men. I a caucasian, have never heard a racist comment or seen a racist action from either one. Kent Williams is working hard for the citizens of Marion County, his actions have proven that.

I personally can't believe that this thread was even started.....there is no question who deserves the Senate seat......Kent has done an awesome job for Marion County and continues to do so......I can't believe there is actually someone stupid enough to even consider running against him.....
