Thank you so much for your willingness to assist us with our offering of EMT Basic in Dillon. The course has been offered every semester in Dillon with start dates of July 10, 2007, November 26, 2007, January 22, 2008 and June 9, 2008. These dates have been put forth in our course announcements, as well as, through the local newspaper. I spoke with our campus coordinator for the Dillon Campus and he has received no student expressed interest in the EMT Basic course. <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O />

sorry guys but this may not come to fruition. unless, by chance you all (those of you who would like to take an EMT course) get an e-mail or some other type of campaign going to encourage NETC or FD-TEC to get a local EMT class that is not overly expensive in the area. i would sure love to see it but i am skeptical at this point........have a great day.

Guys, Medic2586 has been trying diligently to put together an EMT class for the Marion, Dillon, Horry area. I can proudly tell you that he is a great EMT Instructor and, as an instructor, a blessing for this area. If anyone knows of anyone that may interested in receiving their EMT Certification then this is the person to contact. Please help spread the :werd:
Thanks!

hey guys, I'm interested in the emt class that you are trying to get together and i was wondering where i could get some info on the class such as how long it is and what all is involved in it. My problem is that i work a 12 hour swing shift next to Florence and its hard for me to make night (or day) classes every week because of the 7-7 schedule i work...do u think that would be a problem?

glad to hear you are interested in an emt class. these classes usually are taught two nights per week and usually on tuesday and thursday. class last approximately 4-1/2 5 months depending on holidays, etc. the swingshift would very likely present a problem but most employers would be happy to assist when they can get an emergency responder in the deal! i have had several in classes whose employers helped them with the shift difficulties including deputies, plant workers, etc. it might be helpful to discuss this with your employer prior to really looking into a class...you never know what might happen!
*;-)and thanks bigfish for bringing this post to my attention!
