Joey Kerbs, I read your quotes in the newspaper concerning
favoritism with the highway patrol. You sir, are a disgruntled, despicable, and deplorable person. You should be ashamed of your self. Why isn’t your wife fighting this battle for you? Have you finally grown some testicles? Or did you borrow hers? You speak of favoritism. Why didn’t mention the favoritism you received with disgraced former Colonel Ralph Mobley. It was your friendship (favoritism) that prevented you from being charged for Failure to Stop for a Blue Light. Remember that night, while speeding in a state vehicle, you ran from the Lexington PD? Remember you were driving the unmarked Mustang? Remember now? A Lexington Sheriff’s Deputy crashed while trying to assist the Police Department. Also, weren’t you the same person who installed the sprinkler system for Mobley? Wasn’t he the one who promoted you to Corporal and Sergeant? For someone who suffered from others favoritism you sure retired at a respectable rank and salary. Did you ever think you weren’t qualified to make Lieutenant? Sounds like sour grapes and your self-pity. Did Jake ask you to speak with the media? What a smart thing to do; make yourself look stupid at his expense. Jake must be calling in a favor you owe him. There has always been favoritism in not only the Highway Patrol, but in other agencies as well (Police, Fire, and EMS). More and more it's not what you know or how well you perform your duties, it's how much politics or money that you have, how much power you have at your command. I remember a night when a Lexington Trooper requested backup on a traffic stop, it was near the Lexington Patrol office and a trooper in the building was requested to back up, he told the dispatcher that he was to busy. When this trooper was ordered to go, he told the road supervisor that he was to busy working and refused. After the trooper cleared and everything was fine, the supervisor told the (Office) trooper to meet him, and the trooper said I'm to busy, maybe later. At the time this trooper's sister was in the House of Repesentatives and his father was retired from SLED.
The above story is true, Trooper K did run through Lexington City at a high rate of speed, and only after several warnings to stop, he did so. Lexington PD had no idea that they were chasing a unmarked partol vehicle. A Lexington Deputy while responding to the chase, veered off the road and struck a tree, had it not been for his vest he probably not have survived. The trooper was given a slap on the wrist and told never to do it again, only because of his and his wife's politics.
Another Lexington trooper was dating a young girl in Richland county and became so obsessed that she might be seeing or going out with other people, that watched here house using an unmarked patrol car, following her to school, using the car mobile computer system to run tags of any vehicle that he saw in her yard and following anyone that left her house. Several Lexington supervisors cover for this trooper including the one mention above.
If it had not been for favoritism, Trooper K would'nt have ever been promoted, I didn't hear him complaining as long as his band was rolling along, but as soom as someone new came in and Trp.K's train jumped the track, then it was no longer fair.
The propblem with playing with politics is that you always owe somebody and someday you are going to have to pay the price.

What a horrible attitude to have. Not all cops are bad. Very few are bad apples in actuality. And to make a joke about beating their wives... you really are a spineless little shat. Officers put their lives on the line for us each and every day... for people like you, in fact. It would be nice if they got some actual credit... a "thank you" now and then, but the media doesn't find saying "thanks" to our law enforcement news worthy so we only see the down side. The bad ones. Well, there are bad apples in every career field out there.

For one... I would like to say "thank you" to all of our law enforcement officers for the work they do. Thank you for all you do and just know that there are still many, many, many people out there who respect and appreciate you.

It was all painted up . how does the highway patrol explain this . i bet it gets 10 miles to the gallon. unbelievable. i couldnt believe it . just ridin around waistin time . Today I watched several videos of your former co-workers displaying courage and valor as they faced evil head-on. They were the same sisters and brothers you, Bledso, the Black Caucus and Jake Knotts demeaned, dishonored, and tarnished. I was extremely proud of the troopers who continued to chase those who fired at them, their willingness to put themselves in harms way to protect not only the citizens of South Carolina, but to defend what is good and right and to defeat evil! As you fade away into retirement you had the opportunity to stand alongside giants. However, YOU chose to sell out. Making false allegations you aided individuals and caucuses who tried to paint that black eye on each and every trooper. Go take your place among the disgraced and stand along side your mentor Mobley. While your there, thank him for your two promotions.

The Senate Conformation Hearing for Mr. Keel is about to start. Are we going to have the pleasure of seeing you sitting next to Knotts? As his puppet I am sure that entitles you a front row seat. If there’s no room, maybe he can get you a high chair or even allow you to sit on his lap. You had a lot to say when your brothers and sisters were "attacked and belittled" by Knotts and the caucus and I am sure you still have much more to offer. During your thirty seconds of fame, what have you and Dan accomplished? What did you think you were going to accomplish? As expected NOTHING but making yourselves look foolish. Everyone I spoke with, including your fellow brothers and sisters, expected something like this from you, but not Dan. Now the South Carolina Highway Patrol will enter a new era with a new Director, new Colonel, and hopefully a new Senator from District 23. The Patrol will continue to exemplify themselves with dedicated and professional service. One day you will realize your misguided and selfish intentions have done more to hurt the Patrol and less to benefit yourselves. Fade away now and take your place with the disgraced! :violin:

What everyone seems to forget is if Joey Kerbs had been fired when he should have been, when he ran from Lexington PD the patrol would not have been on the recieving end of a black eye from this former Trooper. Mr. Bledsoe had no complaints until Ralph Mobley lost his job. In the past it was only the troopers who got in trouble got rank.
