A Republican staffer said this afternoon that SC is "this close to being a blue state" after seeing the huge turnout in the Democratic primary.
There was not much of a crowd about an hour ago where we voted, but they had pages and pages of signatures, more than I've ever seen, of people who had already voted today.
Wonders don't cease. The Democratic turnout is still well below the Republican turnout, but there's hours left and people who work regular hours are not off work yet.
I don't know how to feel about it. As long as we were increasingly similar to a Soviet-style Republican stronghold, the "red" designation was only proper.
We'll see in under three hours.
