Why do we have to identify someone as a person of interest? If a person is "of interest", doesn't that mean that law enforcement suspects them of something? How far does Political Correctness have to go? We are too concerned about "dancing" around issues rather than facing them!

Is there a particular person of interest you have in mind when you speak of the possibility of an alleged crime?

Even after a perp confesses, it is an alleged crime in the media to avoid possibility of litigation.

I agree with you. We should call a spade a spade and a f**** shovel a f**** shovel.

First thing we need to do is elect people who want tort reform. Only after that will we begin to make progress.

Tort Reform, NO, NO, NO! Certainly not as the neocons and less respectable physicians have dreamt about it for years now. The crazy awards that we see in the paper are just that: crazy. They don't put in the paper the hundreds and hundreds of cases every day where the reward is fair and just. If somebody does us wrong we must be entitled to a redress of grievances.

By the way, screw the doctors that organized about this. They are a disgrace to their profession, and idiots as well. What a large, well financed market for insurance companies. If they acted as a group they could make the insurance companies dance their tune, but it's a whole lot easier for them to hit back at their patients who are less able to stand for their own interests. Plus, we talk about the "thin blue line" with cops. That's nothing compared to the way doctors tend to refuse absolutely to preserve the integrity of their profession. There has been some reform of that in recent years, but not nearly enough. At least now doctors who violate ethics or the law can have that fact posted for them as public information. The ones who don't like that, well, perhaps England would be a better place for them.

A person of interest can be a potential witness by the way, not necessarily a perp.
