It's a great story. One that I guess can never be proven.

But I don't doubt that things like this can happen. Science will never understand absolutely everything that goes on in the universe.

As a scientist I can tell you that one of the most important principles of science is to never believe that you can explain absolutely everything. That's not to say don't try, but science, to be effective, has to be looked upon as an extremely useful but limited process. Those who set out with the end already in their minds (like I will prove this year why I get happy when I see the moon) will be likely to fail, and it makes the whole discipline of science weaker when they do that.

I hope that the Hunley crew is in a better place. If they saw fit to make spots in a camera that's fine with me.
