I had the opportunity to attend the Spartanburg GOP campaign event last night with guest of honor, Massachusetts Gov Mit Romney. It was an interesting event, with the expected nervous energy, but overall, a nice event. I spoke with Roger Milliken breifly as well.

There was quite a crowd, including supporters of other canditates, including Brownback and Duncan what's-his-name (US legislator, R-California). Didn't see any Rudy Guliani supporters there.

Gov. Romney presented himself well, and I agreed with his views on all issues that he discussed. There was no debate/questions, just him and a contingent of SC state, county and city level politicians and candidates. Mrs. Ann Romney was very gracious, and is also a survivor of MS. I could not detect any symptoms by her demeanor, and she spoke several times on stage.

I lived in MA as a kid, but really don't know anything about Romney beyond what is being reported now due to his campaign. Anybody have interesting insight on his chances as a candidate? I think it is amazing that a Republican won any seat in MA, and the top seat at that. The land of Kennedy and Barney Franks....how'd Romney do it??

One clue. Did you notice that his eyelids closed from the bottom?

He's gotten by with that for years now.

Yep, this is shaping up into another election that we'll regret no matter what.
