Could we please come up with another name for the "bush hog" until somebody else is elected president?

There was a bunch of conservatives picketing the McDonalds out here the other day. Said the menu had too many choices.

Only because Rush said so.

I don't think it was Rush. I had a chicken basket at Rush's just the other day.

Could have been Maurice. Now THERE'S a good conservative for you. I made an anonymous call there (to Maurice headquarters) and pointed out that he was flying his confederate battle flag upside down. He had his people out there for hours, turning it one way and then another, trying to figure out which way was right side up. Meanwhile a whole hog burned to a crisp over the hickory coals.

I'm here to tell you he went ahead and served the blackened meat to his customers, just sauced it up real good (he has plenty of sauce on hand). Some people said it was not bad. Others complained about the color.

There's just no pleasing conservatives.

WASHINGTON (August 4, 2006) - The American Communist Party (ACP) announced today that it is merging itself with the Republican party after a joint weekend retreat during which they found that they had "no particular differences" in the way that they would like the United States to be governed.

"I cannot understand why we ever thought that we were enemies," said Randy Gashnikov, Supreme Kommissar of the ACP. "Now we can take care of business once and for all."

Confusion reigned on the floors of both the House and Senate after the merger was announced. Majority leaders of both houses have called for meetings to discuss the real potential of the masses. Both have instructed members to address each other as "comrade".

A GOP congressman who requested that we not use his name had this to say: "There is so much misunderstanding among many Americans that this is really what we have been about for generations now. I hope that they will cooperate, and will give according to their abilities as they recieve according to their needs. We've got to focus on the next five years, as soon as the plans are in place."

White House spokespersons had no comment. Conservative journalists consistently replied to questions with "no comment".

President Bush is expected to address the nation early next week.

At WalMart today there were a bunch of conservatives with their shopping carts loaded with products mostly made in China.

Apparently selling the country to China is now part of the conservative agenda. I'd take it slow. Learning to speak Spanish is a breeze next to learning Chinese.

Had lunch today in a diner on Leaphart Rd. Sat at a table with a bunch of conservatives. They absolutely refused to pass the ketchup.

You'd be amazed how easily a Buck folding hunter goes through the sidewalls of those big mud truck tires.
