Has anybody else heard the rumor that Metts has the inside track on the Director of the Department of Public Safety appointment?

Don't think so since he didn't support Gov. Sanford, besides that, why would they want to?

Kermit, I think there may be several reasons why Governor Sanford might be interested in making Jimmy the Crotch Director of the Department of Public Safety.
The Governor’s cabinet meetings are notoriously dull. Jimmy the Crotch could really liven up the meetings by demonstrating his “quick draw” at the first sign of anything controversial. It would sure keep Robert Stewart from nodding off.
Jimmy the Crotch could save the state a barrel of money by shaking down the troopers to pay for the Governor’s Carol Lighting. Of course, a trooper would not be forced to contribute, but somebody has just got to work the night shift in Oconee County……
The Governor would have an excuse for not campaigning in Batesburg-Leesville in two years.
Jimmy the Crotch could help control that pesky Tennenbaum woman by threatening to whip out his diploma.

Jimmy the Crotch is very handy when it comes to writing jingles.
Nobody, but nobody, can work a Lizard’s Thicket like Jimmy the Crotch….being the “Southern Gentleman” that he is……
Gang problem? What gang problem?
